Garfield High School Scholarship

In 2024, the Desmond Jackson Foundation established a partnership with Garfield High School to create opportunities for eligible students to attend college.

In its first year, the Foundation awarded scholarships totaling $12,000 to six exceptional Garfield High School students. Today, these young men are continuing their educations at Seattle University, the University of Washington, and other colleges in the Pacific Northwest.

Am I eligible?

The Foundation’s Garfield High School scholarship is open to all African American young men currently enrolled in Garfield High School. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, community service, and financial need.

When is it awarded?

Desmond Jackson Foundation scholarships are awarded each spring for the following school year.
